What is the therapy process?
Intensive therapy is for couples or individuals in Hamburg, Germany or the Scottish Isle of Islay
If you want to deal with your relationship problems and/or sexual problems intensively and effectively, it is often very helpful to take yourself out of everyday life for one or rather several days, to set aside children and professional/private obligations and to focus entirely on yourself and the existing problems. A foreign environment can be very supportive for changing entrenched thinking and behavioral patterns. In my experience, this applies to both long-term and more acute problems.
I can offer you individual intensive therapy tailored to your needs and time frame. We can work during the week or on weekends, once or twice a day or at intervals of a few days. The length of your stay can be arranged individually. If you come for a weekend, we might two 80 min sessions at 11 and 14:30 on both days. You can have lunch in-between and use the rest of the day for leisure activities and/or “homework”. Another option could be to come for a week or two and have one session a day.
If you live nearby or are willing to work on Skype (which works great and does not require any technical knowledge), I would recommend that we have an initial session to make sure that we are all happy to work together and what problems you are encountering. If your topic is already known in advance, I can tailor the intensive therapy better to your needs.
If you do not live in or near Hamburg and would like a a place to stay nearby, there are two hotels next door that allow you to walk over comfortably and relaxed to the appointments. The hotels have parking for guests.
In the surrounding area there are restaurants, supermarkets and cafés. The Hamburg City Park with its watercourses and planetarium and the Osterbek Canal for your spare time outside of the sessions. The city center of Hamburg is easily accessible by public transport (bus and subway right outside the door).
If you want to come to the Hebridean Island of Islay in Scotland, I can also recommend nearby accommodation and travel connections. Islay is easily accessible by plane or ferry and has wonderful, secluded beaches with a unique Scottish nature and culture. It is famous among whisky lovers from all over the world with its 9 well known whisky distilleries. On bright days, Northern Ireland is in sight and there is a passenger ferry, as well as car ferries to the neighbouring islands of Jura and Colonsay.
Session prices are the same as for couples or individual appointments (depending on the length of sessions). It is possible add more appointments after the intensive therapy if you think that you need more follow up. Skype sessions easily enable worldwide work. Please contact me by phone or e-mail for further information and individual planning.
